Ansbach Chapter ! hört sich nicht wirklich aufregend oder interessant an, schon gar nicht erinnert es an Amerika oder Abenteuer.

Aber wer glaubt, da steckt nichts dahinter, hat sich sehr getäuscht. Gemeinsame Urlaube, ausgiebige Wochenendtouren, gemütliche Stammtische und auch feucht-fröhliche Feste stehen für eine bunte Mischung lustiger Leute aller Altersklassen.
Aber fangen wir ganz vorne an: gegründet wurde das Chapter 1993 von einer Hand voll Idealisten. Heute, nach 15 Jahren, ist das Chapter auf rund 40 Mitglieder angewachsen. Wie gesagt, ein buntes Völkchen, das sich hier zusammen gefunden hat. Unterschiedliche Nationen, Berufe von A-Z und was unbedingt erwähnenswert ist, eine hohe Quote an selbst-fahrenden Ladies of Harley! Weit verstreut ist auch das Einzugsgebiet: von Würzburg bis Erlangen über Gunzenhausen und weiter bis nach Dinkelsbühl. Kein Weg ist zu weit, kein Wetter zu schlecht. Meist trifft man sich rein zufällig beim ansässigen Harley-Dealer. Der neu gestaltete Raum ist immer einen Besuch wert, insbesondere die neue Harley-Kuschel-Ecke. Oder natürlich in Erichs´ heiligen Hallen, dort werden so manche Ideen, Hirngespinste und technische Probleme diskutiert.

KSH Ansbach
Ansbach ist die Regierungshauptstadt von Mittelfranken und zählt ca. 40.000 Einwohner. Die Stadt liegt an der historischen Burgen-straße und grenzt an den waldreichen Naturpark Frankenhöhe. Die Autobahn A6, Nürnberg - Heilbronn, sowie die B14 gewährleisten ideale Verkehrsanbindungen in alle Himmelsrichtungen Deutschlands. Die Lage im Herzen einer touristisch attraktiven Gegend ist eine optimale Voraussetzung für spontane Sonntagsausflüge z.B. in die Fränkische Schweiz, an die nahe gelegene Fränkische Seenlandschaft oder auch ins Schwabenländle.
Sonntagsausfahrten und Wochenendtrips verteilen sich dann über die launische Sommerzeit. Aber wir sind hart im Nehmen (gut im Schnee unterwegs und erfahren im Zelt aufstellen bei Dauerregen). Auch unseren Urlaub verbringen wir ab und zu gemeinsam: wie z.B: Griechenland oder in der Toscana. Einen Traum haben wir alle noch vor unseren harley-verschleierten Augen: eine gemeinsame Bike-Tour in das Ursprungsland unserer Iron Twins - die USA.
Ansonsten lautet unser Motto: Motorradfahren, Spaß haben ohne Konventionen und Pflichten, den Alltag vergessen und einfach nur abschalten.

Ansbach Chapter
Our Ansbach Chapter may not sound as exciting or interesting as some chapters in America but is an adventure nonetheless.
Ansbach is in the heart of the Franconian region of Germany
We do have a lot to offer. There are a lot of good things happening in our chapter. Common vacation trips, ample weekend tours, homely “gemuetliche” regular’s table regular’s table and jovial festivities with riders of all ages and from all walks of life.
Let us start at the beginning: Our chapter was founded in 1993 by just a hand full of enthusiasts. Today, 15 Years later, the Chapter has 40 members. As mentioned we are a colorful group of folks that get together. We represent different nations, professions from A to Z, and a special note to our high quota of “women owned bikes” our Ladies of Harley! We cover a wide spread area over ”Gunzenhausen” and Dinkelsbuehl. No ride is to far, no weather to bad. Most of the time we meet by chance at our local dealer. His renewed facilities are always worth the visit. Especially the new styled HOG area. Or we meet at “Erich´s holy hall” (bodyshop) to discuss ideas and solve technical problems.
Our name has to do with the Hometown of our dealer and Sponsor.
KSH Ansbach
Ansbach, Capital of Mid-Franconia, counts about 40.000 residents. The city is located at the historical “Burgenstrasse” (Castle-track) and borders to national park “Frankenhoehe”. The Autobahn A6, Nuremberg – Heilbronn ” guaranties a very good transport connection from all directions within Germany .
We are located in the middle of a tourist area where we have the best conditions for Sunday-Trips e.g. Franconia-Swiss, the Franconia lake area, or all the way to Swabia .
During wintertime we meet on a monthly basis at our various member homes. That is the time we plan the events for the next season. Who goes where, where’s the party, etc. The real season opening is the May 1st ride. Mostly in the nearby area where we ride with numerous bikes and members. Even guests and Newbie’s are welcome to our chapter family.
